I hope you get a chance to read it and tell me what you think. “Blade” has more action than, “Dagger” yet many of the players in Dagger are in Blade. Plus I introduce you to the next brother in the series, Ridge. And look for some special attributes to “Drew” now that she’s a shifter.
Enjoy, Sincerely, Cora Blu
We all have those that stay with us and we can recall without much thought. Other memories show up seemingly out of the blue and those send you flipping through the photo albums for all the old pictures.
Well years ago, when my father-in-law died, my mother-in-law gave my husband a ton of his father’s clothes. I’ve known my father-in-law since I was five years old so many of those items held memories for me as well. Sadly now, my girls would never really know their grandfather especially since they had retired to Arizona. Our two girls at the time were 6yrs and 15 mnths.
Going through the clothes my husband and I had a good time as the memories surfaced with each item we laid out over the table. It was surprising to see how many blazers had similar prints as my husbands.
Needing to find the best way to not lose those memories we decided to make a memory quilt out of some of the more special items.
This led to me getting material from my father and husband to start the quilt. I finally made three as we had another daughter years later. My father died eight years ago April 25th and seeing the quilt with his plaid shirt squares that he’d cut the grass made me laugh instead of cry.
So now I’m collecting more material for more memories, but I’m certain my girls will appreciate the memories that the material conjures up for them.
Now with all that said, you know why my stories highlight family. How do you remember those in your life?
Love to hear your thoughts as I’m a scrapbooker also.
Sincerely, Cora Blu.
